Revlon Scented Nail Polish 300 Cotton Candy

300 Cotton Candy

I usually paint my nails once a week, so I'm going to try to do a weekly blog post reviewing each polish.  This week I am trying Revlon's Polish which is "scented when dry." I bought two of these scented polishes, but this one is the first one I am trying.

As for the scent, the polishes in this line are each supposed to each have a fragrance that matches their color name when they dry.  This one is Cotton Candy.  I do admit that once dry, the polish did smell sweet and sugary, though I'm not sure I would say I would identify it as Cotton Candy.  This aspect of the polish is a fun idea but it does not last long.  On day two it is barely noticeable. And, today is day two so I can not speak past that. So I would say, buy this for the color not the fragrance. And, it is a beautiful color. The scent is a fun gimmick, but it is not long lasting.

3 coats, no top coat
One of my favorite things about this polish is that it looks pretty much the same on my nails as it does in the bottle.  It is a soft, pastel, slightly blue toned pink with a slight shimmer.  The top photo is most true to the color on my nails.  The color is perfect for Spring, but I can see myself reaching for this classic pink year round. I really like that its not just a flat creamy pink. The slight shimmer really adds an iridescence that is quite beautiful.
The formula is a bit on the thin side.  I prefer a polish that requires only 2 coats but this one really needed 3.  The color is quite sheer, but I like the color enough that I will use it again.  It dries quickly enough, so 3 coats isn't too much trouble.

Has anyone else tried Revlon's scented polishes? What do you think?

What is your favorite pastel pink nail polish for Spring?

Edited on Day 7 for review on wear.

On Day 5 I added "Starry Pink" to my ring fingers.  You can now find this color renamed as "Popular." Not sure why, but I recently noticed the name change when I almost bought it, knowing that I didn't own Popular. Very tricky Revlon, haha.

I should also note that I do not wear a top coat.  I know that is so bad, but I have not found one I like.  Every one I have tried seems to make my nails chip sooner :( Any Recommendations?
Oddly my right had wore better; I am right handed. Here you can see wear on the tips but for day 7 I am really impressed with this polish.

I'm not sure this pic shows it well, but on my left hand I have a few chips.  The first one showed up on Day 5 so again, I am impressed.

So there you have it! A glowing review for Revlon 300 Cotton Candy Scented Polish.  It is definitely one that I will be reaching for again.
