We are up to letter L in the Alphabet Challenge and I managed to squeeze 3 Ls out of 2 polishes :)

I started with 2 coats of Revlon's Lilac Pastelle. When I wear this alone (and I will because I love it!) I will use 3 coats. There were a couple thin spots at 2 coats. I was surprised at how much I really love this color! I rarely wear pale colors like this, but I found it to be really flattering.

I found it to look mostly pink with just a drop of lilac in the sun. Below you will see indoor and shade photos where it looks more lilac.

This is one thick coat of Latticed Lilac from the China Glaze Crackle Metals Summer 2011 Collection.

On my left hand, I used a thin coat of Latticed Lilac instead of a thick coat just to see how the crackle effect would differ. The crackle effect was much more subtle with a thin coat. I'm not sure which way I like it better. I might prefer the thicker coat. It makes the crackle look more deliberate.
What do you think?
Thin crackle? Thick crackle? No crackle?
I must admit I am not a big fan of the crackled but your combo here looks very delicate and surprisingly good!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of crackle either but you hardly ever see the lighter color ones!! I agree with Jin, looks surprisingly delicate!
