So, even though it is super late, I still wanted to share the projects I made using the January 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Cute Conversations. It was designed to create a Valentine's Day themed garland and cute little treat bags, but with a little creativity you can use it for so much more!
In this video, I share the contents of the kit, show you the projects that I made with it and explain how I made them. Or you could just read on below :)
I started out creating the treat bags that the kit was designed to make. I just added a little bit of flair by adding an extra heart that I cut with the Sweetheart Punch and a teeny tiny heart that I cut using a die from the Treat Bag Thinlits Die set.
Then, I created this card for Valentine's Day. I used a Watermelon Wonder card base from my stash and I added the Mint Macaron heart and Gray & White striped banner from the kit. I stamped "Love You" from the included stamp set in Watermelon Wonder. I added the striped heart that I cut with my Sweetheart Punch and the gray heart that I cut using a heart die from the Treat Bag Thinlits Die set. I took three sequins off of the sequin trim and adhered them with glue dots. I also grabbed some heart shaped sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment and sprinkled those on, too. I finished it off with a little bow that I tied using the bakers twine included in the kit this month.
Now, Love isn't just for Valentine's Day! This stamp set can be used year round to show someone you care! It is also great for Anniversary cards and I'm going to be rockin' it in my Project Life! I mean, that "Meh" stamp?! Love it!
I decided to make a few cards using the "XOXO" stamp from the kit to create a background. I just stamped it over and over using Watermelon Wonder Ink. I added one of the hearts and one of the banners from the kit and I also added a doily from my stash.
I stamped the "Love You so much" Sentiment using the Countless Sayings stamp set in Basic Black Ink. Then, I just added a couple sequins from the sequin trim that we got in the kit and I added a couple little hearts, too. I die cut the hearts using a die from the Treat Bag Thinlits Die Set, but you could use a small heart punch, like the confetti heart border punch, too.
Since the doily pack comes with an assortment of Silver & Gold doilies, I decided to make a silver one, too. This one ended up being my favorite.
Instead of sequins, I used some Rhinestones and I love how sparkly they are! They are the perfect little touch of bling!
